01:21 am - Tulip Creek
Just arrived from the Lightning Bolt show which was held at the Nest in b-port.

tomorrow I am off to philly once more for newton party time, lightningbolt (again!) and boredoms. We got on the hvartski guest list because steve and I have carried on a nice virtual friendship with him and we have met in person once before.
it will be nice to meet up with him. He is opening up for the philly show!

I am excited mostly for this

and this

cheryl is spending time being a magical fairy in VA for her aunts wedding. She has moved into her apartment though and soon we will traverse the lands.
providence? NYC? Philly? vienna? this is cheryl at her finest

10:54 pm - black vomit
I'm convinced the New Jersey turnpike can be the runner up in the World Records for "smelliest place" in America, second to the infamous shithole that is Gary, Indiana. famous only for producing the worlds most repulsive elements: axle rose and mountains of toxic waste which eventually seeped into the earth, inevitably causing a perma-stench that can kill. Seriously though, it really has been documented as "most smelly town in America". go and smell for yourself. props to newt for fucking shit up at that sleazy truck-stop hotel we stayed at for 15 bucks a night.

These are some kids from Gary. black vomit

I went to philadelphia with lynn and Rob. Lynn packed a nice treat of swedish cookies and gummy worms which I had to resist! i can't stomach 100% synthetic foods like that. I think my parents definitely deprived me of a sugar-filled childhood laced with ADHD.

Lynn, pete, sarah and 2 other roomies live together in a west-philly apartment filled to the brim with beer bottles and ikea furniture. Also tons of records which I had the pleasure of listening to with Pete. He picked up some 1st pressings of The Godz record, "Contact High" and faust's "74 Mins of Faust" as well as rivando.

I also went to the "danger, danger" house for an afterparty! here I reunited with Newton and Jared, My touring comrades from senior year.
They played ina band they call "whine" which they just formed with the ex-harry pussy guitarist!

me and newt doing thumbs-up for celebratory reasons( newton makes a rediculous/priceless face. I'm just sweaty and unshaved!)

the curious hair sounded a bit like Wooden Wand and the Vannishing voice but even less refined. (if thats even possible). the bearded man was super nice and hooked me up with some primo southern noise. We discovered that we hung out a ton at the Miami International Noise Conference about 2 years ago!

lynnpetesarahhhhhhhcockburn( this pic basically sums up that house: farside comics, beer and records.)

im rejoicing!

There is now the prospect of a Beardtronix Japan tour for next summer! I have to save about 1500 bucks and I'll be set, according to Newt. The plans are being sketched out and seem very viable. so excited! Sushi, records, cassette players and vending-machine porn.

12:27 pm - Music for Big Ears

dungen! swedish trick masters and psychlords!
I saw them last year at the sirenfest, which took place in the eternally mystical and freakish coney Island. This time around I was in the very front which was a very satisfying experience. Oh, and they smoked a pretty hefty joint with me in the back area and we talked about early japanese tape/noise music and about dance clubs in Sweden. His hair is made of gold.gahhh

her voice is still echoing in my ears and i never want it to go away!
she was absolutely amazing/genuine, it tickled my heart.
look at her website http://www.larkingrimm.com

i'll be going to this on weds:
Wed, Jun 14
8pm Tetuzi Akiyama & Loren Connors Duo plus Tetuzi Akiyama Solo
$10
Tetuzi Akiyama is presented with support from The Society for the Activation of Social Space through Art and Sound (SASSAS) and the Japan Foundation through the Performing Arts JAPAN program.
Tetuzi Akiyama & Loren Connors Duo: Sure-to-be-historic first time meeting of Venusian blues master Connors and the wondrous avant guitar stylist Akiyama.
Tetuzi Akiyama Solo: The legendary "boogie set" from this premier Japanese guitar experimentalist.

Mouth to Mouth will be releasing a 40 min. cd with the help of Valerio Cosi (of foxglove fame) as a collaborative effort and will be distributed as a limited edition of 500! I'm pretty excited that I will finally be cutting something that will get some sort of recognition, albeit good or bad. The process is what counts.
here is the link to his myspace: http://www.myspace.com/valeriocosi
hes an excellent dude , maybe I will move to italy, farm the land and make noise with him instead of slave away in America. Oh, and we would pick figs and cherries every summer.

the animal collective video for "leaf house" is amazing and reminds me how wonderful surrealism is in the context of video-art.

cheryl and I also spent time painting her new room, which is located on ellsworth st. in New Haven,CT. my friends who live their dubbed it "the captains house", most-likely derived from its history. I've been told a sailor used to own it until he lost his life in the big blue ocean, which swallowed him like a shark swallows a sardine. the house is old, but really spacious and possesses a lot of character, and has a really cute garden in the front.
here is a picture of cheryl painting her room in a very energizing, lime-green

Once upon a time, Rob and I were lovers. We lived in a castle called Ikea. We are cowboys from sweden.

cheryl and I re-created a feast of Sushi since I purchased a rice-cooker/steamer. She uses too much creamcheese!

07:47 pm - Remember Pogs?

my brother and I unearthed our most precious pogs from the depths of our garage this weekend.
I always had the best "slammers" in town and it was obvious because most of my nerdy friends always declined my invitations to a battle! anyways, big blast from the past right there. so long innocent childhood artifacts!~

my mom and dad came back from their 3 week extravaganza in Italy which consisted of a tour of venice, Assisi and Rome. They also stayed with my relatives who demanded the consumption of 7 course meals on a daily basis while I was here in New Haven living off of scraps of wonder bread and bad coffee. I think next summer I'll be going for a few weeks to work on the farm that I will eventually be inheriting among many other things such as making wine, seeing Naples, Venice and some other cities and also hanging with the fashion gurus of the world, Dolce and Gabanna. but probably not. Only if they give me diamond encrusted sunglasses to keep.

my dad, post-euro!

soon steve and I will have our recording with Valerio Cosi done and ready to be released. I think we're looking at some european labels specializing in experimental/electronic/drone music and also possibly ecstatic peace.
www.myspace.com/valeriocosi is his site, and soon Mouth to Mouth will have something up too. this summer will bring gold to your ears.

Today I experienced what some what consider an "impulse buy". I got myself a real nice lil' digital camera for relatively cheap. I guess it's not really that impulsive considering i've always wished I could document things with visual messages and not have my life confined to the limitations of text.

I think I will find it quite handy when I'm burning up the earth with adam and his red Cheverolet on our expedition to the western lands. We'll be stopping in Chicago to catch the best day of the Intonation Fest, which of course, is being headlined by these legendary noise-demons

resurrected out of my e-tomb.
strap on your shoes and take out the jingle bells.

soon i will have a digital camera and will tickle all that you fancy with my pristine skill, or not.
probably the latter of the two.

regardless, this is an attempt at creating a more interactive webjournal now that i actually assigned myself to some "online communities".

babes
